super thin paint

Washed the CX3 today and noticed a decent sized paint chip and was a little shocked at how thin the paint layer is on these things. Super Super glad we had the clear nose bra put on the front end in the first week.

I think it's a legacy of modern water based paint as you can fing similar comments on just about every forum. It should touch up fairly easily but I wouldn't insist that it was done in one. Just do a bit each day fur 2 or 3 days.

It is ridiculously thin and it has to be said the actual finish ain't great. Some evidence of orange peel in places.

Still.................mustn't grumble
