New navigation question

I might have read this wrong but I thought that someone posted that if you get directions from your navigation system and change course it won't recalculate
a new route to your destination.
I tried this today and changed my route numerous times and it did recalculate a different route to my destination.

Every Nav system I've ever used recalculates, including the CX3's.

Yes and it recalculates very well! My two Garmin stand-alone GPS's get ticked off at route changes and whine for quite a bit trying to figure how to get me to go back to the original route!!!

I think someone said you can't change destination while driving.

But no one ever answered MY navigation question. I have a compass that shows coordinates and altitude, and a USB slot.
If I buy a card on ebay and put it in the slot, will I have navigation?
Is there anyway to tell if it is counterfeit?
(I bought an expensive Rosetta Stone language system on ebay and it turned out to be counterfeit and indistinguishable from the real one, except it couldn't be registered. Ebay gave me my money back.)

My card came off e bay and It was a OEM card you just put it in the slot and you will have navigation. You can't update it though until you put it into the CX3 and remove it then it will update thru your computer.

I might add what looks like the card slot is not the card slot. There is a little cover right below that you just pull out and there is the card slot.

I picked a card up for $176. Hopefully I will find that slot!
