Things to look for

Hello everyone my name is Nate I just purchased the 2019 cx-3 sport. I am new to the Forum and glad to be here. Are there any weird quirks with these cars that I should be looking for and why is there no serious XM radio built in

Since release mazda has had some rough quirks with the cx-3 but the majority of it is fixed by 2019 so thats a relief.
Some issues from 2016+ era:
-armrest over cupholder (this deserves to be an issue all on its own)
-sqeaking/sounds from right corner A-pillar to dash area (might still be relevant?)
-some earlier ones have had random ac condensor/evaporator issues with poor welds based on initial bad batch which again has been fixed
-infotainment reboot on cold start (fixed in later models with new sd card reader part)
-horrible quality and expensive oem yokohama 18" tires (many of us had to change them within 2-3yrs and mine cracked within 10k miles)
-bad keyfob batteryes (lol this is actually an issue recently, I guess its a bad supplier but a new battery fixes it)
-avoid oem splash guards especially in new england area because they will gather slush and salt like its a shelf
-oem remote starter is kind of a ripoff and any reputable aftermarket remote starter installer can give you better quality starter at a MUCH better price
-Once you manually start the car it no longer checks for the key, so dont start the car, leave with the doors unlocked to warm it up because someone can get in and drive off with it. Not really an 'issue' but worth mentioning since some other manufacturers have a safety check for this but mazda does not.

In 2019 model they redid the interior console/armrest area and some exterior trim and use "newer" parts which fixes alot of the previous problems. However it is still new so not alot is known yet but Im sure in time we will learn what others come across.

Just did a check on mazdaUSA's site and it looks like Sirius XM radio is standard on top GrandTouring trim, and an "available option package" for touring. Sport model does not seem to have this feature available.

*It could most likely be added in if absolutely necessary. Dealers/manufacturers just like bundling features in trim packages so they can upcharge a larger amount to get people to pay more just to get that one thing they really want.

Here in Sunny South Africa the New 2019 doesn't like full sun. Leave the car out for a few hours and when you hit the start button the entire instrument cluster lights up like a Christmas tree, and the HUD instantly fades to no display, it takes a good 20 plus minutes for it to correct itself. The navigation system also has a mind of it's own from time to time, and cant seem to decide if it should display the maps, or something else like the media interface, settings, or just random screens appear.

Thank you all for getting back to me I wanted to wait a couple months till I replied to your answers. So far the cx3 is a great riding car and a very fun car to drive. I've been reading about headlight issues with the cx3 but this 2019 model has very good headlights as for power this baby does get up and out of its own way I mean don't get me wrong it's not a V8 and the ride is tight very smooth and the additional insulation they put in has really cut down on road noise. The only issues that I've know so far is the passenger side headlight has moisture in it it's going back to the dealer and there is a really bad rattling noise when you first start up when it's cold but it goes away when the idle comes down
