Heated steering wheel retrofit from a 2018

Has anyone done it? Any thoughts? The 2018 cx-3 with premium package has it.

It is no doubt doable but not straight forward. You,d need the new wheel which is frighteningly expensive and the control module and switch then you’ve got to get the power into the wheel which turns (inconveniently). That means a heavy duty clock spring - the wire is coiled inside the hub of the wheel. You’d be into a few thousand unless you could find a donor scrapped car.

It is not that expensive because you can sell your existing steering wheel easier on eBay. I find esteering wheels swaps before on BMW, but never with a the heated option. I keep an eye for used

I can’t get at the price list for a few days but yes, it is that expensive.

That’s not the kind of mod that I’d undertake on a car but there’s nothing to stop anybody else.
