Talking How's your Gas mileage?

Wondering how everyone is doing with respect to their gas mileage, compared to the dealer rated specs.
I believe Mazda's rating is 32mpg Highway. I had recently taken two measured trips of 3hrs and checked the cars numbers as well as actual calculations. If I remember correct, the car's calculation was a tad low compared to my actual calculations.

Trip 1: 38.9mpg
Trip 2: 38.0mpg

Averaging 38.5mpg, 6+ mpg above rating and better than my 2005 Mazda 3i.
All this, and I'm not a granny of a driver either...used Sport-Mode a couple of times to pass slower vehicles. Granted, this will go down in the winter, as it usually does, but never have I had a car get so much above the rated mpg. Loving it too!

Wow, that's impressive! What speed, freeway at 70mph or 2 lane road at 60mph?

I'm relying on the car's calculations and I'm averaging 35.5mpg. I live in a rural area but most of my trips are 15 minutes or less, the car says my average speed is 42. My 2013 Mazda2 averaged 37.5mpg under the same conditions, so I'm impressed the larger, heavier CX-3 does almost as well.

The two trips were 150mi each, to a location and then return from a location. Half the trip was on a 2 lane Vermont road small hills and curves where the speed limit is 50mph (I usually do about 59mph. This is where I encounter the need to enter sport-mode and pass a few cars. The second half of the 150mi trip is a 3 lane Highway where the limit is 65mph and I do 70-73mph. Weather was not an adverse factor on either trip. It was in late August. I have not yet assessed city or overall mpg as I do so little...most trips can be from 3mi - 35mi RT. Would not expect fantastic results there. And as I only clock about 5k/yr it doesn't matter much.
