Mud Flaps & Rear Wheel Wells

Anyone have a "better" front mud flap for the 2016 CX3 Sport? Something a bit wider, bit definitely lower?

Also: anyone ever ponder the logic that went into Mazda's design of the rear wheel-well splash protection?
It really seems quite neanderthal. I ended up removing the inserts, coating the wells with a rust prevention and then painting on some high-quality rubber coating. Then I reinserted the silly inserts by Mazda. You don't want to know how much crap gets caught up in there after a winter.

Hi bbourassa,
I too wanted to install larger splash guards than the OEM's. I found these online and installed them on the front. Very easy instalation. They do the trick.

Oh No! Now you're gonna' miss all the fun of disassembling the entire rear of you car just to install a set of mud flaps!

'Not the mention the oh-so-cute concave design of the OEMs ... the ultimate in crud-gathering efficiency!

BTW: I have OEM's all around ... because I think they look good.

For the front...Do you have any dimensions...can't seem to findthem on the Powerflow site.

I believe the Mazda OEM part is about 2 inches below the car and about 8 inches wide.

The dimensions are 8" wide and 4.5" below the car frame. They are very flexible so they will not snap if caught on anything. The model 6402 fits both front and back. They can be found on Amazon.com and Walmart.com, you being in the US. Being in Canada I bought mine at Canada Tire.

frog8fly,
Thanks for the info, just what I needed. would have loved for them to be 10" wide, but moving from 2" to 4.5" below the car will impede a lot of snow/slush...etc.

I think I will give them a shot!
