Mazda CX3 Recall in Japan

http://www2.mazda.co.jp/service/reca...99/004652.html

The drain plug gasket in the fuel filter for all models perishes too quickly. This affected 12000 vehicles.

In Japan, the affected vehicles by chasis # that are AWD;

DK5AW-100050 ~ DK5AW-111540
2014 December 23 to 2016 March 5.

FWD vehicles affected below;

DK5FW-100134 ~ DK5FW-127357
2015 January 6th to 2016 March 7 days

The recall says that after loosening and tightening, the seal perishes too quickly, so Mazda is replacing them for free. There is no mention of this on the Australian recalls site.

Here is the repair slip of an owner in Japan once repaired.

It would be interesting to see if you have received any recalls in your country.

Hmm that date range would cover my car

Just saw the 2016 date range ... that would cover just about all of them

Actually, I just found another recall on the Australian site - https://www.recalls.gov.au/content/i...itemId/1085365

Here is the full list of recalls for the CX3 in japan - ?MAZDA?CX-3 ???????????????????????????????
I can't read Japanese, I'm using google translate to decipher best what is written. From the translation, this seems to be the faults since release;

The dash not recognising a full tank of petrol/diesel.
Either an alternator/water pump belt failure
Front knuckle not tightened properly as per Australian recall
Oversupply of voltage to the cigarette lighter

This is the search result for cx-3 recall on Minkara - ?????? cx3 recall - ???(???????)

Anchorman it does not seem to specify, so I would infer that means all makes regardless.

This doesn't mean that all recalls are present in overseas markets. The faults could have been rectified since shipping. Check with your local dealer for further information.

2015 Mazda CX3 S-Touring AWD Diesel Turbo.

My car was a part of this recall.

My car model is 2015 and I am one the first people has purchased this car in Turkey. I live in a cold climate compared the rest of the country.

Before the recall I have changed my fuel filter once after hearing a strange sound coming from the engine part. It was not a continues sound and having breaks in it.

This was the first change. Totally apart from the recall a have changed the fuel filter 2 times and a whole body change 1 time. But nothing changed. I started to hear this sound again after some time. All the changes conducted within the warranty but I wonder what will happen after warranty period.

The gasket problem occurs when there is cold weather condition and air is going inside to the fuel supply due to leakage. And this is making the weird sound.

you can here the sound in the attached video.

Shortly this recall did not solve this problem. and this is the major problem has been found in Turkey so far about these cars. This topic is trending topic in local mazda forum regarding to CX-3. There should be no more than 1000 cx-3 sold in Turkey so far but the topic is having about 1.000 entries and 50.000 views. But no solution so far.

I wonder how this have not been recognised in this forum so far.

Merve Ersan, your problem is something that last year left a lot of Italian people on the road with gulping cx-3s. Mazda is aware that something is not working properly but, actually no definitive solution appeared. I received something like 4 filters and supports change, but the noise is coming back with the lower temperatures. It is also something starting to get noticed by lawyers looking for legal affairs with unhappy Mazda customers. Hope Mazda will solve by the winter. You can find a lot of discussions on the Italian forum or on facebook, or even youtube!

We have many U.S. members, and AFAIK, no Mazda diesels have been sold in the States.

In addition, this experience may explain Mazda's long delay in bringing the CX-5 diesel into the U.S.
