Question on 2018 CX-3 Radar Cruise Control

Hello! My wife drives a 2017 Soul Red GT AWD without the "Radar Cruise Control". Plus the manual driver seat height adjustment is lame - my wife needs more height adjustment. I want to upgrade her to the 2018 GT AWD with the Premium package which includes the "Radar Cruise Control". I drive a 2017 CX-5 GT AWD with the Radar Cruise Control. I like my CX-5's Cruise Control because it is "adaptive". It slows down and speeds up as traffic up front changes. It brakes and holds the brake at stops, then push a little gas and it goes and resumes the adaptive cruise control. Question: does the 2018 CX-3 "Radar Cruise Control" equivalent to my CX-5's "Radar Cruise Control" which adapts to speeds of vehicles up front?

Thanks in advance.

PandaG, thank you for confirming that it is actually an adaptive cruise control. Yes, I love it on my CX-5. It adjust to the speed of the vehicle in front of you and when it is a complete stop, it will also hold the brake for you. When the traffic moves, you either press the resume button or step on the accelerator pedal a little bit to give it a nudge and then it goes with the traffic again! But be careful when following traffic going into a sharp bend!

And oh, I looked at the "Premium Package" detail on the 2018 CX-3 GT, it has "Traffic sign recognition". I think this is making more drivers very dependent on technology while driving!

Oh yes, I did not try the holding thing however as I always have a habit of turning it off completely as soon as traffic is heavier.
I did notice going around a bend that the radar gets a little confused, but that is to be expected really.
Sure is a treat along with all the rest of the iActiveSense features though!

Yes that too! where are you located?
Here in Canada we have the GX, GS, and GT models.
GX I believe you can only add AWD
GS you can add AWD, Luxury (leather etc), and iActiveSense
GT is everything but the iActiveSense. To add, you have to get the "Tech Package"

I went with the GS option and added AWD, Luxury and iActiveSense over the GT+Tech and that alone saved me a good $10K. But...I am able to live without fog lights, power seats and upgraded Bose system. I also bought the Sat Nav on ebay for $200 as opposed to the dealership's $400, which added the traffic warnings.
Something to think about when buying again if you wish

Be aware that the adaptive cruise control on the CX-3 doesn't work below 20mph (unless that has been changed on the 2018 version), so it's not 100% identical to the one in the 2018 CX-5.

My 2016 radar cruise won't go below 18 mph. However, I believe this was changed with the 2018 version.

Also, the radar transciever is in the Mazda emblem on the front grill. During that period after snowfall when the roads are wet with salty water, it will stop working due to salt buildup on the emblem.

Speaking of technology, your avatar depicts a K75, or ?

P.S. Busy talking to SWMBO, couldn't get the cruise control to speed up, kept tapping the +, looked down at the HUD and the target speed was 90 mph! I had been following more closely than I realized :-(

No, it's a 2011 Honda NT700VAB. It's still hibernating for the winter. It's still very cold here in the Midwest.
