My old Kia also had Sirius XM satellite traffic, but I wasn't aware the CX3 had it too, I'll have to look into it. We do have HD Radio traffic, but it seems utterly useless. It is simply an application that shows a small map of the region and that's it lol, it doesn't incorporate anything into the navigation.

I'll be damned! Lisa is the person who first introduced me to the CX3 at Achilles Mazda. I ended up buying it from Achilles and run into Lisa occasionally. Now I see her giving tutorials on YouTube. I'll have to drop around again and see if she will show me the procedure personally! 😀

You have to turn on mobile hot spot on your mobile phone every time you get in the car, which I find really annoying. I have now set up an automatic event (using an app called llama) for my phone to switch the tethering on when it is connected to the car via bluetooth, and auto disconnects when the bluetooth connection from the car is turned off. It works really well so far.
santa likes this.

I can add that my wife's 2016 Maxx in Australia connects to my iPhone (shows WiFi icon on car's nav screen) but weather and traffic options are greyed out. Too bad the car screen can't just show Google maps.
