MRCC and automatic braking

Dear all,

For a month and a half I've been the proud new owner of a cx3 and I am extremely pleased with this car. I want to take very good care of it.

However; this morning I was driving under normal circumstances when suddenly the MRCC and collision warning lights were on in amber and the active driving displays gave the "MRCC is disabled under 30 km/h"warning. I never encountered this before and given that I have the city stop and go option; braking under 30 km/h has never been an issue before. My front window and grill were clean; so that is not the issue and I didn't press any buttons.

Is this a frequent error? Did I do something wrong? Should I be worried?

No don’t be worried. They are very sensitive and you may have driven through some strong radio signals of some sort. Whatever the reason I wouldn’t worry unless it starts doing it frequently.

Currently CX5 SportNav 2.2 diesel automatic and AWD.
Formerly CX3 SportNav 1.5 diesel automatic and AWD.

What year is your car?

I know that in the first two model years for US CX-3's, the radar cruise control deactivates itself if you drop below 19 mph (30 kph).

It wasn't until 2018 that Mazda rolled out the SCBS/SBS system which included a laser that works better below those speeds to complement the radar in the front grill.
