DIY auto folding mirrors instructions

Made a little video, showing how to connect a cheap module so your mirror will fold when you close the car.
Cost me one hour and $7,50 for the module instead of the 179,- euro for the original installed as a dealer option.
Most of the time was to find the right wires but I put them in this video. So installation is a lot faster for you.

Wait... So you're saying the mirrors in our (US market) cars already have the motors included to do this and we just need the controller to activate the function? Do they automatically fold every time the car is started/turned off? Is there a way to manually over ride other than moving them by hand? Sometimes it's handy to be able to see in the side mirrors when the car is off and parked.

I'm pretty sure that the USDM CX-3 lacks the motors for mirror folding.

Other markets have power folding mirrors and, IIRC, a few of them can do it automatically.

In theory, we could add the motors to ours but I would bet it would pretty expensive.

Of course you need power mirrors to work with this relay.

Sorry guys, I'm fairly sure you need the electric folding mirrors before this mod will work. I'd love to be proved wrong though!

Ok so some clarification... You need to install the power folding mirror motor or replace the whole mirror with the power folding mirrors?

If you don't have power mirrors as standard on the car, forget this modification. The mirrors with motors are unbelievably expensive.
