Mazda connect screen

The screen on top of the dash in the upper right hand corner sometimes show a battery icon and wifi symbol. Why are they there and what is it for?

Seen the battery icon showing like a charging thing (something like 70% charged and today it was like 100% charged) and the wifi icon would show full signal and occasionally half or just below half signal strength.
