Playing videos on cx3

Is there any way to play videos from USB or phone on the system that won't freeze or brick the system? The mazda media player doesn't seem to work with latest version of software on the cx3.

Mazda has a factory DVD-ROM drive that will fit in place of the CD player. It will play video only when the car is stopped (might need to be in Park) and the parking brake is engaged. Like many other features, this option is not available in all markets. If you can get you hands on one of these, I don't know if there's a way to mod the firmware to enable it on USDM or other firmware in regions where this option is not offered.
