Mazda CX3 vs Nissan Juke

Hey guys what do you think of Nissan Juke?

I'm really curious of what you think about the Mazda CX3 comparatively to the Nissan Juke. I love the engineering, the size, and everything about the Juke.... I would have bought one already except for one fact - the UGLY styling.

That is what compels me to the CX3. It seems like a similar size and form factor to the Juke, but without the ugliness. In fact it looks quite clean and sleek.

Any other opinions here?

I mean a big part of the Juke is its crazy looks. They are love them or hate them. You seem to fall on the hate them side. The CX-3's styling is not that controversial. In fact, it's pretty universally lauded. Seems like an easy decision for you.

CX-3 vs Juke

I bought my CX-3 GT in December. I traded my 2011 Juke in on it. I bought the Juke in November 2010 when they first went on sale in the US. I really liked the Juke and never had any trouble with it. I put a Stillen exhaust on it right after I bought it cause I didn't like the vacuum cleaner sound and later I put an Injen intake on it. The Stillen exhaust supposedly added 13 HP and with the Injen intake, I figured it had around 205 HP. It was rather quick! It drove OK but the interior was nothing special. I got tired of it's quirky looks.
On the other hand, the CX-3 is sleek and stylish. It looks like it would cost more than it does. I really like the interior and the seat is comfortable. It also handles real well. It cruises real nice on the turnpike at 80 mph. I like it much better than the Juke! Although I do miss the Juke's HP every now and then.

Good question! I'm one of the people who isn't put off by the Juke's styling but I completely understand that it's not for everyone. Even though I work at a Nissan dealership, I chose the CX-3 over the Juke. The two biggest reasons are the Juke's CVT transmission and it's at the end of it's life cycle. They're both solid, fun to drive vehicles but the CX-3 is much fresher and feels a class above the competition to me.

The Juke wasn't even close to being on my list to be honest. Think they look horrible!

Still.................mustn't grumble

the Juke has that obscure look that is clearly not for everyone, but I think the NISMO package is not bad. In general Im not a huge fan of Nissans (though I would get the Nismo 370z in a heartbeat.)

If I had the money I would get a GT-R (Skyline). The Juke is fugly though. I don't understand why Nissan feels the need to make ridiculous looking cars in certain segments to stand out. Juke, Cube, and the electric Leaf are so damn ugly.

And Nissan execs had the balls to compare Leaf to Tesla the other day saying "you don't have to wait until 2017 to drive an affordable electric car" LOL

Here's my quick breakdown having driven both.

Juke rides higher and faster, handling is decent, interior has several hard plastic parts, door panels and closure don't feel as solid.

Cx-3 rides lower and slower, handles better, interior has better materials and doors feel solid.

the slowness of the CX3 is part of its charm. Im quite used to it by now.

U step on it and the engine's like "chill bro, we aint goin nowhere."
