Tail Light tint overlay

What do you all think about this photoshopped red overlay tint on the tail lights?

It's OK but does not exactly count as a work of art. Over here, it would immediately break the law by altering the shade of the indicators and the reversing camera works best at night with white light from the reversing lights.

Currently CX5 SportNav 2.2 diesel automatic and AWD.
Formerly CX3 SportNav 1.5 diesel automatic and AWD.

All advice is given in good spirit and taken entirely at the readers own risk. WORK SAFELY. ©2018 anchorman

I'm just wondering if that's legal or safe to do because your flashing rear lights may be less visible afterwards.
