2015 Mazda CX-3 review by Autocar

2015 Mazda CX-3 Review | Autocar

Quote:
The CX-3 was designed in Mazda’s styling studio in Japan. When management was shown the full-size clay model for the first time they were reportedly so impressed they simply said “build that”. The styling really does help it stand out, especially at the front, and it's certainly nowhere near as awkward to look at as the Juke or Jeep Renegade.

these pictures scream perfection, can't get enough of how good it looks in white along with the use of other colors on the interior and exterior.

I agree with the reviewers comment about the CX3 compared to the Juke. The CX3 manages to be interesting to look at without being strange like the Juke is. I think it will appeal to a lot of people.

The tacked on garmin is an ugly touch. Wasn't cool when Mercedes does it and its not cool when Mazda does it either...

Its not that bad. I think they did it to allow a lower top surface to the dash, minimizing a claustrophobic response in a tight cabin. Anyway, it has a bigger screen than my CX5 and I would gladly swap out the whole dash with it, though the 5s screen is built in.

There is no denying it looks like a tack on afterthought and therefor a bit awkward, but hardly a deal killer.

I also don't mind the navigation screen. I think that it is integrated into the design better than Mercedes'.

A recess in the dash is provided for the Mazda screen, making it obvious the screen is part of the design. On the Merc it looks as though someone just laid it up there.

Also the entire dash on the Merc looks dated. The Mazda, much simpler and sleeker.

It's weird seeing it as a RHD model.
